About Me

The National Credit Fund for Women in India exclusively for economic empowerment of women. Managing RMK, extending micro- finance and micro- loans to women for livelihood. Implementing the schemes & scrutinising proposals from financizl and legal angles. Administrative responsibilities and currently involved with restructuring of RMK from a registered company to a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) with enhanced operations & pan — India presence. Engaged in capacity building & awareness generation camps at the grassroots level, interacting with International agencies and arranging exhibitions of products of Self- Help Groups.

In charge of policy, planning and implementation of National Policy for Women in the Ministry including legislative matters, International relations and interaction with UN Agencies/IFAD etc. associated to empower women. In charge of all national and international conferences; monitoring of projects of self-help groups and NGOs. Review of and formulation of laws with National Commission for Women.
I monitor all programs under STEP, (training programs for women), SWADHAR, PRIYA DARSHINI schemes apart from encouraging proposals like ~~ Working Women’s Hotels, Short Stay Homes and Women Help lines for women in distress and need. Administration & application of Domestic ~~ Violence Act, review of Registration of Marriage Act; bill on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace.etc. Presentation of country paper on Women at National and International forums. Additional work allocation includes Administration and establishment matters including vigilance, and women welfare projects.
